Seventh-day Adventist Church produces family life public service announcements

SILVER SPRING, MARYLAND - Since the tragic events of September 11, 2001, the value of healthy family relationships has increased in the eyes of Americans. Understanding this, the Seventh-day Adventist Church, in partnership with Adventist Media Center, Message Magazine, North American Division Communication and the Review and Herald Publishing Association, has produced public service announcements that are designed to help families enjoy a stronger and healthier family life.

Entitled, From this Day Forward - Building Strong Families, this 15-track CD includes but is not limited to topics on:

• Children and divorce
• Sparking the flames on romance
• Domestic violence
• Dating around and again
• Who handles the money [in a marriage]
• Parenting
• Husbands and housework

The public service announcements are hosted by Willie and Elaine Oliver. Willie is Director of Family Ministries for the Seventh-day Adventist Church in North America. His wife, Elaine, is Director of Financial Aid at Columbia Union College and a marriage and family consultant for the Seventh-day Adventist Church in North America. Both have written numerous articles on relationships and hold graduate degrees in counseling and family sociology.
